Casita Bolero

Casita Bolero – self catering eco-friendly cottage for 2/3 people.

Hill top location, 10 mins from el chorro village & crags. Available for self catering rental throughout the year, the casita is built away from the house and on a higher level to really benefit from the beautiful surrounding views.

Run on solar & wind power, the open plan, studio style accommodation has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The lounge area has a single sofa bed, coffee tables, bookshelves and CD player. A wood burning stove links the lounge to the kitchen/dining area which includes fridge and gas cooker with 3 rings, grill and oven.

The sleeping area houses twin beds, chest of drawers, wardrobe and full length mirror. A separate fully tiled shower room with WC and wash basin completes the internal accommodation.

The covered terraced area is south facing and makes an ideal dining, BBQ or relaxing space. Coals and BBQ equipment are provided.

Bed linen, hand and bath towels are all included.

A welcome pack of basic needs + one or two extras is provided for you on arrival.

There is ample car parking space on the private track to the casita.

Full use of Casa Bolero’s 8mx4m swimming pool is open to residents of the casita during the long hot season. The pool area is terraced with sun beds and an outdoor shower.

Mountain bike hire and guiding is also available – we have a great knowledge of local trails, some of which we built ourselves, and most start from the house

Prices from £200 per week – £35 per night (min stay 2 nights). This accommodation is an ideal base for climbing and much more!

My boyfriend and I booked a last minute flight to El Chorro for a week of climbing. We were pulled in by the charm of a wind and solar-powered house, plus the easy access to the climbing crags. Of course booking online with no review from friends is always a risk, but with the quick and warm response of the owners to our query of availability, we knew we made the right choice. Joce and John sent us detailed instructions on how to find the casita, and we were warmly welcomed by Jack–the sweetest dog in the world. The casita is well-equipped with everything you need for a cozy stay. After cold days climbing outdoors, my boyfriend would build the fire and I would cook while we listened to the vast in-house selection of music.
The climbing crags were so close (by car, of course), and when we didn’t feel like cooking, the owners of the casita recommended delicious restaurants nearby to try.
Our only regret? Not exploring the mountain bike potential under the guidance of John. Then again, at least there’s another reason to come back to this little patch of paradise in El Chorro!

Stayed here last easter for two weeks. Excellent spot, good value, good quality mountain bike hire and very helpful people. Five mins from El chorro. Beautiful outlook and they may be able to accomodate four by using a caravan next to the casita. Highly recimmended, in fact going back next week!
