Camping
There are many more campsites in the Yorkshire Dales but the those listed below are the most popular with climbers. Their approximate locations are marked on the map on the previous page. More sites can be found on: www.ukclimbing.com
Gordale - Popular climbers' campsite at the bottom of the gorge. A lovely site, next to the beck and very close to Gordale. 20 minute walk to pub. Can be busy.
Grassington - Wood Nook Caravan Park, Wood Nook, Skirethorns, Threshfield. Tel:01756 752412. Expensive but good facilities.
Malham - Town End Farm Campsite. Site is located on outskirts of village on the way to the Cove itself. Excellent position for crag and pub but can get very busy.
Masham - Black Swan Camping and Caravanning Site, rear of the Black Swan, Fearby near Masham. Expensive but in a great location. Good facilities. Tel:01765 689477
Masons Camp Site - Site is located on the Burnsall to Appletreewick Road, just before Appletreewick.
Town End Farm, Kilnsey - Seasonal site located on minor road on left 1km north of Kilnsey Crag. Excellent position for crags, but little security.
Wood Nook, near Threshfield - Site is located 1.5 km west of Threshfield, signposted on the left from Threshfield. Compact site on farm. 20 minute walk to pub.
