Northern Limestone : Yorkshire, Cumbria, Lancashire covers some of the best limestone crags in the UK including the big three of Malham, Kilnsey and Gordale. Alongside these titans are numerous other destinations that offer both sport and trad climbing throughout the grades, ranging from the intimidating walls of Blue Scar and Trow Gill to the long lines of newly-developed low to mid-grade sport crags such as Moughton Nab and Giggleswick South. Trad climbing is also well catered for on the walls and escarpments at the likes of Trowbarrow Quarry, Twistleton Scar, Attermire Scar and Witches Quarry.
Virtually all of the crags in the book are set in beautiful countryside and are close to fabulous pubs, villages, camping and bunkhouse accommodation.

Bolt Fund - We are pleased to announce that we will be repeating the arrangement we made with the North Wales Bolt Fund over North Wales Climbs, and making a £1 contribution from all the initial 1500 sales of this guidebook to the relevant bolt fund. In this case it will be split between the Cumbria and Yorkshire Bolt Funds. After the initial 1500 sales, we will revert to our standard £1 donation for each sale made direct from the Rockfax web site.
In 1990 we published the first Rockfax guidebook to Yorkshire Limestone. It was the first Rockfax guidebook ever and was authored by Mick Ryan, Ben Walker and Greg Rimmer. It featured black and white photo-topos and basic route information on the same page and set the precedent for all the books that have followed. The next publication to cover Yorkshire Limestone was Northern Limestone published in 2004. This big book covered Yorkshire and Cumbria but also included the main Peak Limestone crags.
