Actually named Harvey WaRbanger in my topo (compiled by and blagged off Pete Trewin back in '95). This is the route topped by a root - the ultimate 'thank god' hold. Small(ish) but beautifully +ive holds all the way to the finish. Gets a split grade (5b/5c) on my list. Think it's one of those height things again. Reach for the big old hole and you're laughing. Just keep it together for the last couple of moves.
Definitely called Harvey Warbanger in the old Al Rouse guide (Pex Hill section by Stu Thomas). |
