Tricky start (onto first ledge) okay after that. Some confusion at the top - do you go up the crack on the left or straight up the nose?
A nice climb fair at the grade with some tricky moves low down
Head off left at the top to the easy crack. Crux is down at the bottom.
Surprised to find the start fairly straightforward, doubly surprised to find the pull up to the top from the last ledge more awkward than the bottom bit!? Nice climb though with good views. Loads of protection and easier than Ash Tree Wall.
I have soloed this a couple of times but was taking a friend up and placed a friend just under the nose at the top and tried to go straight over the nose. Good job I put that friend there !!
The start is probably 4b for the vertically challenged but so safe it would probably rate VD at Castle Naze. Worth the walk though. |
