Nice climb, tho' interesting move at about 2/3 height on the flared crack, tried jamming but the rock around me was the wrong shape to use any of the jams I could find. Finally resorted to laybacking a good edge on to a smear for the left foot. Felt more like a 4a move to me, maybe HVD 4a would be fairer, certainly seemed like the easiest way up there.
Moderate in the guide I had so foolishly sent a friend with little experience upit. Nice VDiff but the layback of the slightly bulging flake is a joke at moderate.
All the routes on this rock are enjoyable and juggy! |
