8m. A shallow groove leads to a layback flake just to the left.

Absolutely NOT the same grade as The Grazer.
Graham - 04/Feb/02

Absolutely not VS (never mind The Grazer) but you might want a spotter for the problem start.
Steve C - 18/May/02

Perhaps not full-on VS but 4c is about right

Similar to Topsail ie. one move wonder. Nice route in its way I thought.
Jon Croxford - 13/Jul/02

A good little climb worth HS/VS 4c, a bit of a one move wonder, but then again the rest of the climb is atleast a severe.... The grazer is another climb so don't compare.....
Woker - 17/Sep/02

My third lead climb ever, so maybe not a real VS, slightly thoughtful start and then a nice move over the flake.
Gavin Bell - 29/Jun/03

A very nice move, intimating but easy, the crux is the unprotected start. S 4a for the layback flake, maybe S 4b overall.
Simon C - 13/Oct/03

Can't really see how this is VS, HS at the most. Not 4c neither, maybe 4b. Nice little route though.
Jonathan Tompkins - 03/May/04

lovely layback
Sam and will - 25/Mar/05

One brilliant, but very well protected move does not a VS make.
Jonathan Miles - 27/Jun/05

A nice route VS?
Paul Tomo - 24/May/06

HS 4a in the old guide, a whole load easier than the grazer, definitely too easy to be VS
G. Tiger, Esq. - 29/Jun/06

much , Much MUCH easier than Grazer
Iain Thow - 17/Mar/07

realitively easy start, good gear, use a number 2 friend under the layback move then go for the top, exciting route would be worth 3 starts if three times longer. If your flexible its 4a.
robert bridges - 16/Apr/07

No WAY is the crux the unprotected start Si, it's a DIFF that start (and you could protect it if you did some gardening). You do need a bit of confidence in your layback skills (gear) or beta ("one move wonder") to do the layback move. Sue
Sue Easton - 27/Apr/07

Easy unprotected start, bomber wire in the flake and then one brilliant move. Not much harder than S 4a.
James Cox - 21/Nov/11
