Adjacent Routes 8m. A shallow groove leads to a layback flake just to the left. USER COMMENTS
Absolutely NOT the same grade as The Grazer.
Absolutely not VS (never mind The Grazer) but you might want a spotter for the problem start.
Perhaps not full-on VS but 4c is about right
A good little climb worth HS/VS 4c, a bit of a one move wonder, but then again the rest of the climb is atleast a severe.... The grazer is another climb so don't compare.....
My third lead climb ever, so maybe not a real VS, slightly thoughtful start and then a nice move over the flake.
A very nice move, intimating but easy, the crux is the unprotected start. S 4a for the layback flake, maybe S 4b overall.
Can't really see how this is VS, HS at the most. Not 4c neither, maybe 4b. Nice little route though.
lovely layback
One brilliant, but very well protected move does not a VS make.
A nice route VS?
HS 4a in the old guide, a whole load easier than the grazer, definitely too easy to be VS
much , Much MUCH easier than Grazer
realitively easy start, good gear, use a number 2 friend under the layback move then go for the top, exciting route would be worth 3 starts if three times longer. If your flexible its 4a.
No WAY is the crux the unprotected start Si, it's a DIFF that start (and you could protect it if you did some gardening). You do need a bit of confidence in your layback skills (gear) or beta ("one move wonder") to do the layback move. Sue
Easy unprotected start, bomber wire in the flake and then one brilliant move. Not much harder than S 4a. |
