Harder than the grade would suggest.
Desperate if done direct, and pointless if you sneak round the corner.
It's very hard not to swing around the corner. In any case, the route description in the definitive BMC guide would suggest that you are not expected to go directly up the crack.
Short lived, but nice, monkey-up-a-stick climbing. The position is spoilt by the gully.
Without the arete you might as well be on London Wall. Surely its graded with the arete in. |
