Adjacent Routes 10m. The steep right-hand corner is juggy, well protected and only occasionally green. Mild, with the crux right at the top. USER COMMENTS
A great route, well protected but needing some thought,
a half decent route which is pretty tricky to start although nearer the top the smears for your left foot are a little precarious especially when your right leg is jammed in the crack! Protection is v.good all the way!
oh yeah and the choice of anchors at the top is a little limited!!
i really enjoy this route, the crux is right at the top and there is good gear all the way. i thought it was better than amazon crack, but if it was green i think it would be rancid
Nice route. A bit of foot jamming required half way up to reach jugs and then a fairly desperate finish for 4b IMO. But solid pro all the way. Much better than the name (and green appearance) suggests and probably suffers (ie. overlooked) from being next to LTS.
A great route. My first VS lead. quite sustained but with good protection.
A Nice route! Good gear placements. Finish provides the dilema: be bold or place gear getting tired. Not desperate for VS 4b IMHO - try Mutiny Crack if you want bold/desperate.
Didn't find it sustained. Two 5 meter sections of climbing separated by a 20 minute ponder on the ledge. Crux for me was working out which part of my body to jam without knocking my pro out of the way. Upper section was a romp on very positive side holds.
I thought this a good VS crack. slightly spoilt by the small recess on the right wall at the top. Much better/more interesting than the raved about Amazon crack to the left.
Great route, my first VS. Does require some thought, especially for the feet. Great moves and gear all the way up. I think the grade is fair at VS 4b, more sustained than Amazon Crack, and not as much for the feet.
Top route, got the heart going without desperation. Ankle/knee jam in the crack whilst placing gear, easier top-out for the tall |
