12m. Hop onto the horribly-chipped undercut arete with great difficulty and then layback rapidly to easier ground - unprotected and almost impossible to top-rope! USER COMMENTS
Don't believe Derrick when he tells you "from the big 'old on the arete it's about 5a youth" Lying git! Once a contender for the hardest route in the peak I believe. Nice one Bolge
Overall this felt easier and safer than Demon Rib for me. One pad and a good spotter (sensible, but I agree it lowers it to E4ish) and you can fall off as much as you like before the jug, from which its about... er.... easy 5b. |
