12m. Climb the side wall, trending left, by a series of long reaches, linking rounded holds, to a final difficult exit - typical gritstone. Large Friend protection.
FA. Graham Parkes 1997

First ascent correction. I did this route on the 10th of September 1991 with Dave Hunter, witnessed by Jonathan Wickens. I wrote to the BMC new route contact at the time, Geoff Milburn, but for some reason it was missed from the last guide. I also wrote to 'Climber' after a picture of Graham? reported doing the first ascent.

We also made a start up the scoop down left to join the Promontory Traverse and reversed that to the start, which is contrived I know, but it's such good climbing!

The name! We called it 'KitKat' by the way, as you have to keep going for a break!

I must apologise, I was aware of your claim but working on the guide I could find no reference to it at the time (I think you may have contacted me about it in the MiniGuide).
I WILL get it right next time round.
