14m. The right-hand crack is juggy and excellent giving great jamming and bridging. Don't trip over the edge at the top. USER COMMENTS
Hardest at the start and with a nice rest right in the middle. Plenty of gear but solid VS none the less
this route is hard for VS, make no mistake. If you're looking to try a real grit VS then this is it. The bottom crack leaves your feet scrabbling and your arms scratched, and the top is worryingly steep but with a good thread
Rubbish. Nasty. Minging. Terrible. Bad. Not Good. Horrible. Oh and f***ing sh*te.
do not be put off by the above comment, this is a quality route, requiring a variaty of techniques to succeed on it . this rote is what grit is about.
An excellent route - with some great holds just when you begin to worry its going to get too hard.
marvellous varied route, great bomber jamming and bridging
class route with good gear and a lovely swinging crux move round that nosey thing near the top. definitely vs, definitely three star. (nice comfortable bealy position too. allows you to assume the gnome position!)
Pure quality. My favourite Solo in the world. Has a fair bit of exposure for a grit route.
Thought this was quite worthwhile. Are you allowed to use the boulder to start though? I tried without for a while, then decided it didn't match the grade that way, so stood on the block instead.
Felt pretty tough for VS 4B not sure if that's cause it's a while since I've led outside or cause it was baltic out there yesterday, felt like my hands were going to fall off by about half height. Absolutely amazing route though, well worth a go. |
