20m. Climb the rib right of the main corner, then thin cracks and a shallow groove to a ledge. Follow the continuation crack in the wall to a loose finish. Often a bit green and grassy! USER COMMENTS
A damp, green, precarious arete. A dark slimey groove and desperate snatches at loose vegetation.
In russia, the routes like these ones are common tackled using the combined tactics of wedging a fat climber clothed in sandpaper, in slimy cracks. two or three may be required for routes such like this.
VS 4b my arse! The rib is 4c and the top groove is harder. Ice axe useful for getting onto the grass ledge.
This route is fine as a VS 4c* when dry. There is a hold under the lip of the grass to pull onto the ledge. The upper groove is easier than the arete below providing your bridging technique is up to scratch Finish left just below the top to avoid any loose stuff. |
