Id have the said the grade was about right. One of the moves up the flake felt like 4b.
Fantastic route :) Bit of a push over at the grade but I was smiling too much to care. Great photo oppos as well, with a descent camera bod!
Was going to lead this as my second HS lead. Ended up seconding it, and wishing I'd led it. Darn. Will re-visit and lead it. It's well worth going back to, and really enjoyable.
Got back and led Eartha today. Lovely route.
Can't understand HS 4a as it's well protected and there's only one short tricky section so not sustained. I'd give it S 4a, or maybe HS 4b, or even S 4b!
I wouldn't worry whether this is S 4a or HS 4b - it's probably in-between - just enjoy it! |
