22m. The right-hand crack has thin moves up the crack and a superb groove above to a shelving exit. Unlike the rest of the cracks here, it isn't a toe and ankle wrecker! USER COMMENTS
A much more enjoyable route than Embankment 3 - real holds on the slab so you don't have to wreck your toes as well as fingers.
A great route, a good introduction to the Millstone Cracks.
I found this much harder than Embankment 3! Excellent, with some sustained hard climbing in the middle section of the route.
Well protected and never desperate, but very sustained throughout, 5a and 5b moves all the way.
I found the route very pumpy - my forearms were knackered well before the top. Perhaps it was because it is a comparatively long route of much the same sort of climbing. Still good.
agree with al. this is a route where one dont have to be jam master. good but fairly straight forward climbing. found bond street harder!
The best of all the embankment routes imo.
Correct, and it always has been.
Great route. The 'frisky scuffle near the base of the vague groove' felt exciting as I only had a naff 0 friend in with 20ft lob potential if it popped. Bomber wires below so felt happy going for it. Much better than Embankment 3.
Pretty straightforward for the grade, felt more like HVS. Never strenuous. Embankment 4 is much more of an enjoyable challenge. |
