22m. A great route up the left arete of the quarry. A juggy start and awkward groove lead to a ledge. Groping around the right arete should locate a good flake; layback to reach a pine tree on a ledge (popular belay) then finish more easily out leftwards. USER COMMENTS
Good climb, got 1/4 way up and the heavens opened! It made some moves a little challenging especially the step on and up the flake, but even wet the holds were still positive. This climb also has some good rests which was for the best. I just wished my shoes could have stayed dry!
Very enjoyable, not quite three star stuff though.
Fantastic route. Great holds and moves. Big grins all the way up!
Agree, not quite 2 stars. Didn't layback the crack, instead traversed right using a good foothold on the arete onto the face, then straight up to the tree. Gives good exposed
Very easy for the grade and much easier than I remember. Great fun and plenty of gear
nice route, but i found it harder than the likes of pmc1 and manchester buttress.
My first ever climb (seconded) 20 years ago and my son's first lead at this grade. Great protection for a beginner.
Lovely route with protection in the right places for the difficulties.
Jugs a plenty, but the start is tricky. Did impressive commando roll on 1 ft drop off eliciting 9.9s from spectators. Higher up pulled off an elegant manouver to gain tentative holds only to find that one was a huge jug - I felt conned!
No trees left now - only stumps. Some nice moves between big rests but probably not a 3* route |
