16m. The wide crack in the centre of the slab is a good, if somewhat sandy, introduction to jamming. USER COMMENTS
This crack was running with water for ages after it rained. We stepped across to the next route on the right which was loads dryer.
Very sandy when I did it. As a result it can feel a bit more insecure than you would expect from a severe. It can be (and was!) laced with gear though.
Solid gear, good rests, good jams/holds and not strenuous. A pleasant VD in reality.
Would be a VD if it wasn't for the huge amount of dirt on the route, made it seem much harder than it really was and very difficult to trust your feet even on the bigger ledges. |
