12m. The slippery twin cracks in the long-hollyless groove. Start up the left one step into the right, for a couple of steep moves then finish up a wide easy chimney. USER COMMENTS
Led this back in March. Don't be put off by the strenuous thrutching and bridging. Jugs await and it's over too soon.
The grading is spot on (bridgetastic), the climbing is ok. I'd question the star.
Worth the star, this route is quite committing, not because of bad gear but more due to the need to keep pushing at it to succeed. It's a shame it eases lots once over the bulge, but at the time I was glad of this. Not as classic as Hawk's Nest Crack next door but very good all the same. |
