16m. Mild at the grade and brilliant. An awkward start leads to a ledge then tackle the jamming crack up the shallow groove. USER COMMENTS
The start is HVD 4a and the top slab is HVD 4a. What make this route get a Severe tag, there is pro everywhere. If its 3c it should get VD.
This route is absolutely brilliant, I never get tired of doing it!
Fantastic climbing, perfect jamming.
Great Route but quite easy. Loved it.
brill!
did it the other week in the rain might have been slippy but fun all the same
A brilliant route, and easy for Severe. Good stuff.
Don't worry about the grade, just enjoy the fantastic climbing.
Great route. HVD 3c sounds about right.
id have said HVD 4a for the top crack, but what the hell. Good for practising jamming if you avoid the facce-holds and only use the crack.
Yep, I'd also say that this is a great route for jamming practice (as you can avoid doing it if you don't want to, but it would do you a favour to try). Probably 4a, rather than 3c, but I don't want to get into any debates about this, so I'll bow to the majority opinion. You're all right! ;o)
Having never done any trad leading in my life I'm not qualified to offer up a grade for this one. But, having soloed up it late yesterday evening I can highly recommend it. Bit too easy for gear really.
To Nick, aren't you wonderful
I'm a beginner and I seconded this climb a couple of days ago and thought it was great. When I got to the top slab I completely forgot about jamming in the crack and laybacked it instead - I'll have to try it again and do it properly... :)
soloed barefoot this is a pure route, Best handjams i've ever used.
very enjoyable for all grades of climber, saw it solo-ed by one of those fesh faced uni-types made me wish I was younger, but served its purpose as a good warm up. great and enjoyable in that order.
Did this today - quite greasy as it's been damp, so my hands kept sliding out of the crack, so definately worth the grade today but no doubt different in the dry (and if I wasn't out of practise). Nice line though!
Great route with lots of variation on the way to maintain interest. Easy to protect. Very enjoyable climb.
Great Route, my first lead for many years. |
