16m. The best beginners' route on the cliff, is MUCH better led than top-roped! Climb the cracks on the right then move left to the flake. An easy layback leads into the final groove. USER COMMENTS
easier than first impressions give, infact a doddle.
Looks hard but isn't at all. Good solo if you're confident/competant.
Got told it was a Vs, but its not.
nice climb, worth taking double ropes though i reckon. Tried it with single and the rope drag was immense!
Looks alot harder than it is.
Was my first lead back in 1995 (sniff). Soloed it on the next outing (gloat). A pleasant little number.
soloing the top half is the best way to finish off joe's direct start.
Straightforward Diff.
Nice route, easy warm up.I dont think double ropes are needed
Nice enjoyable route, but felt trickier than Gamma next door, which is graded at VD. I'd use Gamma as the intro/first lead route as it's more straightforward. It can feel a little hairy for beginners getting up the arete on this.
By 'arete' I meant 'flake'! |
