Climb the steep arete and swing right to a steep crack (decent gear at last), layback strenuously up this to a rest. Step back left and follow a second crack to easier ground. USER COMMENTS
I think the description and line marked in rockfax is wrong. As far as I can see (and as I have climbed the route) you do not climb the thin crack (which is too thin) but swing right from its base - but not to a rest. This puts you in a strenuous position at the foot of a steep layback crack (good gear) which is best climbed quickly to a rest at its top. Then step left and follow a crack/groove just right of Cucumber Variant to finish. Worthwhile route. The tricky moves on lower arete can be protected with a sling over a poor rounded spike weighted with a big cam |
