Route Grade Votings

22m. A superb find - one of the best in recent years. The central line of the wall has a technical lower section to the roof. Crossing this is easier than it appears, as is the slabbier upper wall. Move left to a lower-off. Not in current guidebook.
Significantly easier than The Spectre and perhaps more fun since the roof packs a minor punch. Just good steady climbing.
Spectre is by far the better route and only a tad harder. Same grade for both at 6b+, one low and one hard.
take care passing the overlap, don't look at what some of the bolts are stuck in to and try not to think about the big flake you're hanging on coming off. 0* pile of choss and 6b
Lower wall is an immaculate sheet of rock and not at all chossy in fact none of the holds are loose. The top bulge may fall down one day but it will take a lot more than 80Kgs of human to remove it.
Its a stiff 6a+, and a sweet one at that. there are practically no loose blocks, and the wall at the top is so significant that it would take two rutting male African elephants to collapse it..
Easy 6b. Never desperate. Well protected with plenty of jugs.
Easier and not quite as good as Spectre, but a great route nonetheless
I've climbed easier 6c's than this, but i thought 6b+ was fair. Its a great route, and the guy who said it was 0* and choss should stick to stanage and polish. The bolts are fine, the rock is fine, and i reckon he just got scared.
Did this again on second today, was very enjoyable and consistent, stand by my earlier comments.
I agree with A.J. defo 3 Stars on superb rock. Only grumble: Spaced bolts on the lower wall then more bolts on the easy upper wall. Hmm!
