12m. One of the few Curbar routes which doesn't feel too hard for the grade. Twin cracks lead past blocks to steeper cracks that are done rapidly. No longer as loose as the name suggests. USER COMMENTS
I wouldn't exactly call it low in the grade.
Anywhere else this would be a mid grade HVS... well apart from Yorkshire where it would be given HS

i fell of this route10 years ago from the top crack unfotunatly my gear was near the ground. i remember it being a good route for its grade though
Def not low in grade, moves are never that hard but the steep pumpy upper section is quite difficult simply because stopping to place gear would probably result in a fall. Tried not to think about how low my gear was as i wrestled with the upper crack :-)
You can get a cam inside the wide upper crack as well as in the diagonal one that meets it so it needn't be run out. Pumpy route but pretty easy jamming for Curbar. |
