Great route with huge holds. Much better than the 6a to its left.
The local guide has the routes the wrong way round. I suspect the above comment refers to Ammochostos, as this is the 6a to the left and certainly didn't look like a 3 star route.
yes, bit confusing. the guidebook (that they sell at kalymnos and the updated information sheet that we picked up from the climbing info desk have the 2 routes in different order) did the first one from the left and thought it was neither 6a (felt harder) or 3 star.
Done this now and it's worthwhile. Has a couple of hard balancy moves which you wouldn't want to fall off on, so probably 6a+
I and my climbing partner Andreas opened these two routes. Salamina * 6a+ is on the left and Ammochostos *** 6a is on the right.
Agree with all of the above. Keep well left of the bolts all the way up on this. Really is a 6a+ though |
