The steep slab is especially sketchy for the short. Side-runners drop the grade a notch or two. Loss of a hold may have made this a touch harder than it used to be.
FA. Gary Gibson 1979

The guide book suggests may a hold missing.
I stand 5'9" and found crux move impossible. if any one smaller can do please e-mail me How?
Mick Watts - 16/Jun/02

Delightful and accurately graded - surprised it's not HVS 5b *cough*. Anyway, 5'8" and usually feel shorter than that, and it was fine and felt mild at 5c. A few inches shorter would have been hard.
Fiend - 27/Jan/04

Having done this once(that is without deviating from the central line) I thought this was E5 6b!

Anyother classic 'gibson' grade? This seems as close to E2 as Rattus N at Lawrencefield (which I failed on repeatedly when it was given E2)
sloper - 15/Nov/04

Found this hard, two poor crimps, high rockover onto small foothold and a slap for the top. More like E3 6a to me (5'6" by the way).
Ropeboy - 11/Apr/07

i agree with ropeboy felt hard for the grade poor hold where there used to be a better one though!
nick whelan - 30/Aug/07

sweet! good value E2, tiny sharp crimps, olly might be too short...
