Adjacent Routes 14m. Bizarre but strangely attractive. Climb the easy chimney then move left to the claustrophobic slot. Squirm up this, then into the crag to reach easy ground on the other side of the face. USER COMMENTS

there are two version of this climb either up the left crack easy or right crack easyer.. lots of fun but don't get stuck!!
Sheer quality, the tighter LH crack is difficult to get to as there's a step across which is easy but committing for a MOD, the RH crack (the only one I could get my 44" chest through) is easier to reach. Recommended for the chuckle factor. How this doesn't get 3 stars for fun and some others do I'll never work out...
just Wedge yourself in the left crack and swim until daylight - you aren't ever going to fall out!
You can't possibly walk by this without being enticed or horrified. Great fun. Caving or climbing you decide!

Finally got inside this yesterday! Involved going right to the top and turning horizontal and squirming, worth some stars!

The easier RH variation is a different route called Captains Crawl
I tried this last weak - as the crack tightened up in the middle - i went back out and put all my gear incl. helmet on 1 nut and went in again. At the tight spot it was still too tight for me so i had to get into a horizontal position thought the crack tightens at the bottom. Then i crawled in and went to the right looking for the way out which was sadly closed by a spider web!!! |
