To the right is a trench which turns into a chimney above. This fun route takes the easiest line up the chimney and wall. USER COMMENTS
A truly scary sandbag of a route! Given VS in the Climbers Club guide but in a wondeful position and with a crux sequence reminiscent of Thorn on Beeston Tor (well I thought so!!!) AND not a lot of gear around the rather airy traverse...
This has got to be worth HVS. The crux is at least 5A and is not well protected.
Hardest move of the day. Holds seem to be missing and the team behind us pulled two more of. At least 5a.
A surprisingly good (and challenging!) route. You're a long way from the gear on the initial wall and then higher up it's a scarey and committing swing round the arete. Good value!!
Fairly bold if you only climb at this grade but a really adventurous and worthwhile climb. Sort out your gear and do it as one pitch. |
