11m. An intimidating but classic test piece requiring a forthright approach. Battle up the steep wide crack using a variety of jams and face holds.
FA. J Hesketh, H Tinkler 1962, one of the first routes to be climbed on the crag and certainly the hardest route in the valley for its day, a superb achievement.

Climbed this today. Solid HVS though I have never met a 5a move this testing. Would give it 5b anyday!
Bradley White - 08/Sep/05

Every bit as awful as it looks and pretty much ungradeable. The climbing is eminently unsuitable for the standard human physiology of two limbs on each side of the body. 1 star for the line, though.
Fiend - 19/Oct/05

A brutal but enjoyable battle.
