14m. Vicious finger pockets in the steep bulging crack prove a test of not only strength but resistance to pain. Judicious use of the small Yew tree gains the crack which is protected by a thread and two pegs. At the top of the crack there is a bomber Rock 8, from where a final stiff pull gains easier ground and the lower-off. Often climbed with gear in place at f7b+. USER COMMENTS
Can I bolt it ?
Come on Rob, its the best protected hard limestone trad route on the crag and it certainly doesn't need bolting.
Only Kidding Lee, I can`t beleive the thread I put in it eight years ago is still there. If you ever want to replace it take a coat hanger. |
