Another scary route suffering from a chronic lack of attention. The initial wall and bulge has poor gear. Above that it is around E2 5c. Cross Armageddon and climb direct until forced into Windhover by the ivy. USER COMMENTS
There is good 1/2 friend placement on the crux - Tested by weighting but not fallen on. I thought the current grade was E4
The description suggests you follow Armageddon to finish - Special K actually finishes (with interest) pretty much straight up the wall above the point it meets the diagonal line of Armageddon.
A poor route. A few poorly protected pulls then a so so E2 5c to finish. The best climbing is the (direct) finish up the headwall as Ian correctly mentions. |
