Start up the Windhover arete to the base of the jamming crack then head diagonally across the excellent airy upper wall. The positions are almost unrivalled in the Peak. Once given an outrageous grade of VS and, although the start is now harder due to lost holds, the wild finish is the same as it ever was. USER COMMENTS
A fine adventure with a big feel about it. The start is entirely unbalanced (the crux being clipping the peg, the actual moves are easy), and it would be much better E1 with an easier start. The rest is continuously good and steady and well positioned.
In my humble opinion the best route at Stoney. I have actually soloed down it it's so good.

Great route, apart from the nasty start. The top half is indeed trickier than it looks and the finish is slightly further left than is shown on the topo. And it certainly ain't VS |
