The very polished curving crack and arete.

hideously polished and consequently a real struggle for an HVS leader. The gear is good, but overall, not a good experience at all.

Definatley hard for the grade, top gear but if you don't want a fight don't place too much!

A sound route. Always good to watch over-geared Southerners struggling on it.

good route and tasty at the grade

Hard work! Watch out for the bird's nest on the evil polished jamming crack...
Nick Smith - 07/Aug/04

Positively disgusting. Those who like slippery handjams may appreciate it. Sane people would do well to avoid.

Still in the doghouse after sandbagging the other half on it. Slippery and struggley but fun nonetheless. Hard for HVS

Absolutely marvellous. Safe as houses but oh so slippery. A really good warm up for Stoney's harder offerings.

If you like jamming, you will like this. Good gear ( 4 camalot useful at wide part of crack). If you are not a fan of jamming, do something else. Did it in a snow storm and the slippy holds were becoming slippier.

A good one for your mate to do, "it's only HVS..."
