I'm very glad I didn't look at the guide book description before getting on this route. The foot placements actually aren't that bad, but somehow the hand holds are as smooth as. I enjoyed it anyway, and it's got me over my fear of polish a little!

Polished, but nowhere near as bad as I was expecting from the description combined with Stoney's reputation for polish. If you want to see real polished rock, try Twistleton!

worthwhile and compared to other easy limestone routes the polish is barely noticeable
