The BMC Stoney guide describes the route as going up the groove, then stepping right and up the easy wall to the tree (with ab station). This has to be the correct way at the grade.
Couldn't decide which level you're supposed to step right. We went below the blind flake crack, as it was unprotected and seemed harder than 4b, and also ended in vegetation. But the crack was worn so lots of people have been this way, and the easy wall on the right, though polished, seemed less travelled (and a large flake hold came off!). |
