The central crack gives a fine little route, steep, sustained and often a bit of a struggle. USER COMMENTS
The initial wall is unstable and vegetated but the crack above gives unrelenting, strenuous climbing right to the last move. The crack has good gear but also two resident, large chicks deep in the crack (June 03). Suggest we all leave them alone to fledge in peace and avoid the route in May and June in future.
The initial wall has been cleaned recently by the look of it, and the main unstable bits removed (it's still a bit loose though). The rest was excellent (still with in situ Jackdaw chicks) but rather harder than 4b.
Seems pretty clean now but is 4c rather than 4b. Worthwhile if you like clean jamming. |
