A great pitch up the righthand side of the grey wall. Climb the easy rib just left of the shallow overhung cave. Pull up into a short white corner and then via a steep wall (2 pegs) to beneath an overlap. Using a suspect block with care pull up and left into a corner and progress more easily to the top. A super route for an aspiring E2 leader (whoops - it's now E2 - that's why I found it hard...). The crux is getting past the peg. Once above that the route is really HVS/E1. Hint: that small finger hold up there on the left is actually the right hold. E2, see.
Hmmmm. Great route on lower section. Really didn't like that block. Got a top rope lowered. Can go direct up left hand groove to avoid the block at similar grade. Just look behind the block at whats its balancing on..... I couldn't see anything.......
Looks like a hefty chunk has come off the bottom of the final groove (just above the overlap). The suspect block might be gone at last... |
