Maybe (and this is just a crazy theory), he's climbed other routes at a lower grade, and this didn't seem any/much harder than them?

I saw somebody make the move round onto the arete look very hard the other week.

LOL I did this climb about 5 years ago !!!

It's a one move wonder with a sling on a good spike above your head.

You're right, it is a one mover. I always find it very scary on a lead, but I have never tried placing a sling. When going around the arete make sure you commit and make a good reach leftwards to find a good hold which will help lots!

Nice climb with a great move onto the arret. Good slab climbing above but with modern gear easily protected.
