Adjacent Routes
Another excellent and popular trip with some airy climbing on the upper wall. Often finished further right, but it was originally done direct, which is a bit harder - 7a. USER COMMENTS
I thought this was hard for 6b+! (grade given in other topos).
Now has a direct finish and the route is 6c.
I don't see how this could be finished right without traversing into the adjacent route? Certainly *very* small crimps if you finish direct!
Indeed. The Direct finish seemed improbable at this grade or even 6C. God knows I spent long enough looking for a sequence! In the end I traversed right to the adjacent route.
At least 6c+ direct for small kids. Two of the bolts are very hard to reach and higher up theres a huge reach!
Mmmm - the holds used to go direct are pretty small for 6c. I'd go with at least 6c+. Was it originally done direct?! - been doing these routes since they were first climbed and no-one I know ever went direct until GG straightened it out.
I would agree with 6c+ direct.Even if you traversed right at the last bolt, it would still warrant 6c to that point. A couple of very difficult clips for shorties, thankfully some hanging tat in the groove saved the day!
Fell off the top of this when my foot slipped, when I was casually hanging around working out the final move. Doh. I was going to post regardless that it's no different to the 6cs, but people seem to have that well covered already. Good value and unusually well bolted on the top wall. |
