Two pitches. The waterfall to the left of the bridge. Pretty steep but divided by ledges which helps give it an amenable grade. USER COMMENTS
if you're happy on Scottish 4 this is a nice one to kick off your trip with.
A great route with 2 long pitches. Can do various direct options to make the route hard 4
An excellent WI4 climb at end of March 2006. Well worth its 3 stars and easy to get to
If you choose the beautiful rightmost line it´s steep. With 60m rope you can actually climb over all the difficulties in one long pitch.
In the conditions this route was as hard as the west route and gave 95m of climbing bottom to top. Up the middle was delightful.24/1/08
Climbed the route again two weeks ago. I lead it bottom-top with a 70m rope, at least 5m left after reaching top. Righthand side busy, left side very easy and ladderlike. This season, more than last anyway, both Vemorkbrufoss and Host (long one-pitch WI4 just nearby) are totally hacked up for you and sees a lot of action.
Belaying where shown on the topo would make the first pitch a very long (60m?) grade 4 and the second pitch a very short (25m) grade 2. We belayed on the next tier down, making a more even split (50m grade 3 + 40m grade 4). As noted by others, the right hand line is steeper and could be done in one long pitch. |
