Whilst abseiling down from the ledge I had a brief look at this (as I would have no intention of ever climbing it).

There is possible protection from sliders (placed one to check), small cams (probably Black Diamond C3s), and *maybe* Peenuts and smallest Tri-cams. Combined with with danger-&-grade-reducing mats this protection should make it more suitable for a ground-up ascent??
