From the centre of the slab trend left by neat footwork and a mantel to the shallow groove in the arete. Not much gear!
Pleasant although shortlived. MVS and possibly 4b, the mantleshelf can be avoided by use of the "slug-wobble" technique.
Is the 4b at the bottom? The top was fairly straightforward. Worth a star.
The new direct start up the slab arete in the BMC guide is good (bold VS climbing from a crux start). The mantle is hard if taken direct but is much more easily overcome with some lateral thinking. The lower slab feels bold until you find why its not!
