12m. From halfway along the traverse climb the smooth slab past a useful pocket, easing with height. The route is high in the grade unless a side-runner is employed. Three Pebblesque. USER COMMENTS
Unprotected 5a above a poor landing does not make a VS. This grade could just about be justified with a side runner in Arsenic Slab.
Agreed. VS with siderunner, E1 without
Either with a side runner (unless pre-placed high up), you could deck, and definitely take ahuge swing, from the crux.
I did this today with a side runner (cam under the boulder on Arsenic slab) I felt this to still be fairly bold for a VS but without it would be more like E1.
Did this in 05, Seriously bold for a VS...all things considered it needs an upgrade to HVS5a and some might say bold at that.
Oops...didnt notice it had been upgraded.
worth the upgrade and still on the bold side. good route
E1 without side-runner. Great route. |
