16m. The arete is hard and worthwhile but will be so much better when it gets the finish it really deserves.

This is a good route, much better than it looks. However, I don't think that Ch-Ching is awaiting "the finish it really deserves". Because of the broken nature of the buttress, it makes most sense for ch-ching, as a line, to finish up stratagem.

As for the unclimbed upper arete, the obvious way to access it (and best line) is by starting up satchmo then breaking right up to and along juggy pockets to the arete. ie. not via ch-ching.

I can't delete them but I take back most of the above comments! I did a climb based around the upper arete in april '10. I started up Satchmo as described but continued heading up and right from the arete, joining stratagem near the top and used side runners in that route too. A direct on the upper arete is still there to be done and have since heard the moves were done 'back in the day' (on tr) at around font8a. Starting up Ch-ching (a relative formality) would make sense for this new route and would straighten out the line I climbed nicely.
