22m. A contrasting finish to Turret Crack, it can be done in one pitch, though watch the rope-drag. Harder and bolder than the original. Climb the crack to the ledge then traverse the break rightwards to the arete. Climb its right-hand side a short way then traverse back left to reach the crack that splits the upper bulges. Not really suitable for one's first HVS!! A full adjectival grade harder than Gymkhana and for that matter harder technically too. The first crack is solid HVS, the traverse solid VS, and the finish solid E1. Jugs lure you on right until the very end, and then.... Deserves a rounded symbol. A very good, substantial route with a "big" feel. |
