10m. Loop along the curving crack then swing right on jams past the arete to finish up Sandy Crack, which may be the crux! USER COMMENTS
Getting around the corner into Sandy Crack is awkward & precarious, perhaps more so for the short. Considerably harder than Bilbery Crack.
A great little route, which might be just as commiting to second as it is to lead. Fine hand and fist-jamming opportunties abound!
Jamming galore below the undercut crack. Just don't get your feet too high as you swing round to re-enter Sandy Crack.
Can be scary for your second, use double ropes, but just clip one, then when the second climbs, the rope you never clipped will be above the second at all times to prevent a big swing! should br 2* but the groty finish spoils it!
I think the 'grotty' finish is rather in keeping with the rest of the route! It's a great hand jamming test and should get two stars! |
