8m. The right-hand edge of the slab is balancy and protection is lacking. Escape into the gully is not easy once committed! USER COMMENTS
This has a nasty landing and no gear. Good spotter essential!
You're welcome mate. It was a pleasure to catch you...
E0 5a. Maybe =). A quintessential micro-route (6m not 8m), ascended by some elegant manouvres, jolly nice what.
If E0 existed it would be the right grade, 3 5a moves in a row but the holds are good they're just technical moves.
Certain E1 5a to onsight. The landing is horrid and some moves are reachy and blind. 6m of climbing but potentially an 8m fall. Ignoring the flakes on the right of the arete gives a nice bold E2 5b (which I guess many think is the line and hence some of the grade arguments).
Don't follow the "lack of gear" arguements, as there is gear in the flakes on RT. Do agree with the possible upgrade to E1 though!
Very straightforward 5a moves for a consolidated onsight E1 leader. Bouldering hopefuls shouldn't comment IMO. There's nothing reachy or blind either (unless your blind of course) |
