Atmospheric climbing up the Frankie arete. A good 7a made 7a+/b by a proper crux high up.
Surely this is 7b. It actually says so in the graded list and it is a ++++++ of a crux.
Its the only 7b I ever got up in my life so I suspect its not really that grade. The shorties in our team complained a bit though, so maybe its height dependent?
Brilliant route, shame about the desperate start, don't think it's 7b though?
Found the start ok and onsighted it up to the last bolt. Found this final section to the lower off totally despo and couldn't fathom it at all. tiny little undercuts? what do you do? |
