Route Grade Votings

Adjacent Routes The soaring line. Passing an overhang high up on the second pitch may well be harder than the grade given. 1) 6a, 2) 5+. USER COMMENTS
Very high first bolt above tricky climbing spoils the experience (which is bizarre considering the overbolted crux above) take a small cam to place in a slot. Second pitch looked a definite 'no no' at 5+!(we abbed off)
The first pitch is just over 30m but can be done with a 60m rope if the climber lowers themselves hand over hand.
First pitch definitely over 30m as my partner went through hte half way point of a 60m rope after clipping the last but one bolt! Fortunately a friend had a 70m rope :-) Good route and well worth doing. Looked at pitch 2 from the belay but didn't even contemplate it!
P1 3* on its own merits. 1st bolt is well placed. Varied and wonderful climbing with crux at the top. Length: 34m. P2 comments if we get back there this week.
Two guys who had just done the 5+, 5+ and 6a+ routes nos. 16 to 18 called down that the top pitch actually was 5+. |
