35m. Great climbing in the upper groove. From the ledge on Seal of Approval, move rightwards along the break to gain the groove; follow this to the top. USER COMMENTS
The route description that both Rockfax and The Climber's Club have is misleading; the following would be better: Climb the wall and the arete slightly right of Sealhunt to a ledge. Hand traverse right in a very exposed position around the arete to the base of a groove. Climb the groove for a few metres and then move left into a second groove on the left (as the right hand groove is quite loose). Follow the left hand groove to the top. Worth two stars for the brilliant traverse alone. The photo topo in the Rockfax guide book shows the lower part of the route in the wrong place. |
