14m. From a short crack/slot climb diagonally left along the break to reach the easier but well-positioned arete by a tricky move. A very photogenic pitch.
Looks striking from a distance but not so great to climb.
Look out for the perched blocks above and to the right of the start of the route. They look loose and may not stay perched much longer!
Looks striking from a distance and it's even better when you actually climb it :-)
Im with Simon C: a great route, solid rock, good but spaced runners
Great route good gear just where you need it but not alot in between, reponsible for my first leader fall (about bloody time)good for piccys on the arete.
a good route, quite airy on the crux and hard to read the rock, as there are so many potential holds.
Great final moves on the Arete, seems a long way above your last runner!
Definitely as good as it looks
...so many potential holds, and yet so few that are any good! Feels pleasantly precarious, but nothing that should spit off a respectable VS leader. Would've felt perfectly safe too if I hadn't used my size 3 cam low down and had to settle for rubbish placements in the top break. Doh!
Very nice climb, good holds when you find them and plenty of room for your gear.
One of the best, delicious moves, lovely position, very adeqaute gear should you stop smiling for long enough to stick any in.
Hmm, I got a cam in the obvious slot ten feet up and nothing else! Thinking back there were plenty of placements at the back of the HUGE ledge. How to make VS feel like E2.
Lovely route. All about moving your feet & hands slowly and keeping balanced. Did it in a proper gale, which made the arrete more fun.
Lovely, though I too managed to use cams early on to protect the move onto the arete and then realised I'd got none left to place as I teetered up!
